- In conjunction with billing, we add an office fee to the invoice: 6.00€ per invoice (as of February 1, 2024, 10.00€ per invoice). This fee, labeled as a service fee on the invoice, covers costs incurred during therapy visits. It covers office staff expenses, various information technology and security solutions, as well as costs related to the Kanta service and archiving, among others.
- We can apply for direct reimbursement from Kela on behalf of the client if the client has a Kela rehabilitation psychotherapy decision. In this case, the client is only responsible for the deductible. A handling fee of 10.00€ per invoice is added to the invoice for processing the rehabilitation reimbursement. You can also apply for reimbursement directly from Kela yourself. In this case, we invoice the session in full.
Billing is done via email, and invoices can be ordered as e-invoices from your online bank. Upon separate request, we can also provide invoices as paper invoices, in which case a paper invoice delivery fee is added to the invoice.

- Paper invoice delivery 10,00€ per invoice
- For postponing the due date of the invoice by more than 14 days, we charge a 5,00€ due date extension fee.

More information about therapist pricing
Why do therapists have different prices? Below, we’ve provided answers to many questions about pricing for those seeking therapists.
The prices of therapists at withHelt and other providers can vary significantly at times. The reasons for price variation typically include the following factors:
- Therapist’s background education: Whether they are psychologists, psychotherapists, or professionals from other fields offering therapy. For example, at withHelt, all therapists offering therapy have at least a background in psychology, supplemented with training in short-term therapy techniques. All our psychotherapists, on the other hand, have completed a training program approved by the National Supervisory Authority for Welfare and Health (Valvira), and have at least two years of clinical work experience before undertaking a four-year psychotherapy training program.
- Therapist’s experience: The therapist’s experience also affects pricing. Therapists with less than 5 years of clinical experience often have lower prices compared to professionals who have been practicing therapy for over 5 years.
- Therapist’s specialization studies and areas of expertise: Many therapists have deepened their expertise through various advanced training programs. All these enhance the therapist’s professional skills and often influence pricing. Various factors affecting pricing and specialization studies include…
- Target groups, such as adolescents or working-age individuals
- Themes such as trauma and crises, addictions, neuropsychiatric challenges
- Or studied various types of extensive methodological training, such as psychophysical, EMDR.
- Geographical location: The prices for in-person sessions are often influenced by location as well. In the capital region, therapy prices are typically slightly higher compared to other parts of Finland.
The therapists practicing at Heltti as independent professionals price their services independently. You can find the pricing of each therapist next to the service name when booking time with your chosen therapist on the booking page, as well as on the therapists’ individual profiles.
In Finland, almost anyone can offer short therapy – even someone without a background in social work, healthcare, or psychology. “Short therapist” is not a protected professional title in healthcare, and qualifications are not regulated. Anyone can call themselves a short-term therapist. However, therapy is a skill, and skills are learned through education.
As someone seeking therapy, it’s important to investigate the therapist’s professional qualifications, as this can affect the results of therapy.
In Finland, the price for a session of short therapy typically ranges from 60 to 150 euros. Each provider of short-term therapy sets their own prices, and the price may not necessarily depend on their educational background.
At withHeltti, all our professionals are either psychologists, medical doctors, or psychotherapy trainees. Additionally, we have one social psychologist. All our experts have received training in short-term therapeutic approaches. You can trust that our professionals offering short-term therapy are qualified and skilled experts in the field.
